What is omegaverse romance?
Omegaverse adds a second layer of biology on top of regular humans. Three secondary genders: Alpha, Beta, Omega.
Alphas are dominant, scent-driven, and protective of their Omegas. Omegas go into heat, have their own scent signature, and are biologically wired for an Alpha's claiming bite. Betas are the rest of the population, going about their lives in peace.
What kind of dark mafia romance does Kit Vane write?
Kit writes Italian Cosa Nostra omegaverse. The world is dangerous, the families are powerful, and the violence lives outside the bedroom.
The brand promise on every Kit Vane book is dark world, safe relationship. The Alpha will burn down the city for his Omega, but he won't ever hurt her.
What's a claiming bite?
In omegaverse, a claiming bite is the bonding mark an Alpha leaves on his Omega. A permanent biological tie. In Knotted Sins, claiming bites are stronger than marriage and seal alliances between mafia families.
What's knotting?
Omegaverse biology gives Alphas a knot. An additional anatomical feature that locks them to their Omega during sex. It's part of the bonding biology and shows up on-page in Kit's books, alongside on-page heats and claim scenes.
What's the reading order for Knotted Sins?
His Illicit Omega (the free prequel novella) → His Volatile Omega → His Counterfeit Omega → His Sworn Omega → His Untouched Omega.
The four main books are interconnected standalones. Each is a complete love story with its own Alpha, Omega, and HEA. You can technically read them in any order, but starting with Volatile gives you the full arc.
Will I see the same characters across multiple books?
Yes. After His Volatile Omega, Gemma and Matteo are present in every book.
The other three Alphas — Enzo Caruso, Rafe Santoro, and Gabriel Valente — orbit the Conti empire in different ways. Some are family. Some are allies. Some are problems Matteo has not yet figured out how to handle.

How dark is "dark"? What can I expect?
The world is dangerous. The Conti family runs an empire built on things that would be hard to read about in the news. The stakes are real and the violence is real.
But the line Kit will not cross is the relationship. The Alpha will not hurt his Omega, will not punish her, will not break her. He will burn the city down for her, and he will scare the hell out of every man who looks at her wrong, and he will carry her to bed when she falls asleep on the couch with a book on her chest.
The danger lives outside the bedroom. Dark world, safe relationship. That's the promise.
